RAISES US$1.2 MILLION (AND COUNTING!) FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
TAMPA, FL – June 29, 2017 – What began as a meet-up for a few local videogame Twitch broadcasters has evolved into a massive two-day community convention and force for charitable giving. GuardianCon, now entering its third year, announced today that it has officially reached this year’s event goal, raising US$1.2 million (and still counting!) for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The GuardianCon charity gaming stream and #LittleLights campaign kicked off on June 22nd and concludes on June 29th.
GuardianCon 2017 takes place this Friday, June 30th through Saturday, July 1stat the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall. In addition to the week-long charity broadcast marathon, the event will include meet and greets with top gaming personalities, a live podcast theater, educational workshops, Q&A panels, competitive PvP tournaments, gaming stations, live music, artist booths and a retro arcade.
