The Q4 2016 earnings call by Activision revealed the company made a staggering $3.6 billion from in-game sales in 2016.

The huge figure was one of the positives of the call, which included the admission that Infinite Warfare struggled with sales due to the futuristic setting.

The $3.6 billion was made from just in-game sales that included Call of Duty points and Overwatch Loot Boxes.

Activision plan on increasing sales throughout 2017, with the company admitting they’re still in the early stages of in-game content, with plans to roll more out in the near future.
